Africa’s ’Big Five’ - Baby lions and lion families
The small baby lions look like bigger cats and you are keen on cuddling them immediately. But the wild playing instinct and sharp claws don’t make it recommendable to get too close to the lions.
Africa’s ’Big Five’ - Elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard
The so called ’Big Five’ of Africa are the five animals, which are the hardest to hunt for. Beside the lion these are the elephant, the rhino, the buffalo and the fast running cheetah.
Africa - Giraffes
The giraffe is at home on the African continent and belongs to the tallest animals living on land. Giraffes can get up to 6 metres high and are able to eat from the highest treetops very easily.
Africa - Ostrich, hippo, hyena, suricate, birds, wild pig
The fauna of Africa offers a lot: beside gutsy hyenas and aggressive hippos you also meet heaps of ostrich, cute suricates and unusual colourful birds. Wild pigs can be seen sometimes as well.
Africa’s ’Big Five’ - Lions
Lions are the most elegant animals of the ’Big Five’ of Africa. Within the so-called Game Reserves you get the chance to come very close to them, while sitting more or less safe in your own car. Just stunning!
Africa - Zebra, antelope
Black and white they are, ... the horses of Africa. The zebras trot proudly through the high, juicy green gras. Some antelopes cross the picture again and again. Their delicate moves are just beautiful.
Safari road trip South Africa
Starting in Johannesburg we head towards the east coast of South Africa, where we get in touch with stunning safari trips, nice backpacker hostels but also townships and the people living there.
